start talking.

I was caught off guard today (one foot in--see my previous post for an explanation), only momentarily though. This time i was prepared for the unexpected, in fact expected the unexpected. It was nice being prepared, although there's still a sting. I'm beginning to wonder if there's a difference between lying and choosing not to disclose information? When the truth comes out, to me, they feel the same. From now on I've been lied to. No more, "I guess I forgot to tell you", "I wanted to tell you but..." Those terms don't count. In fact, they're not even phrases I understand.

So, with that said, lesson two of the new year: when someone stops talking, there's a reason (it's called choosing not to). Note to self, avoid not talking.

on a better note, I was taken to a delicious little hip restaurant in Lincoln square this evening. I sampled something of a stingray...skate wing--think it's in the stingray family, but not everyday you see skate wing on a menu :) delicious!!!
