hoot hoot

i just realized i never blogged about camping...yes, you read right, i said i went camping. since, i got a lot of "what you camp?" "you're going camping? like in a hotel?" "um, really? camping?, you?" yes, it was all a good laugh, little do you realize, I'm quite the nature lover. city dweller, yes, afraid of bugs, yes, like hot showers, yes, fresh air and stars, absolutely sold. And, lets not forget about my snow camping experience a few years back, sleeping on ice...yeah.

i spent the night in the middle of enormous redwood trees (oh and yes, i slept by MYSELF in my OWN tent.) there was an owl hooting away all night, but with my fascination still in peak it was a delight! however, i admit, i was a bit timid over an animal jumping out of the tree to attack me in the middle of the night.

so...to summarize, camping was great! plus, kaitlin and I got to do quite a bit of sightseeing, that is before she got sick driving on hwy 1. I will be quoting her for a long time, "whoever said driving down the 1 was fun????"
