in a recent conversation, about 10 minutes ago, i was mocked for my latest picture description on flickr. i was told i sounded ridiculous, so i said to my other half, i bet if you posted a picture on flickr, it would be a book and you'd probably write about how it's your favorite book. it somehow led to this very ridiculous skit. we often do skits to kill time.
spoken in a Louisiana accent:
me: I love fish.
me: I wish i lived under the sea.
amanda: I love books.
amanda: I wish i could be in a book.
me: I wish i was paper.
amanda:I wish i was the words on the paper, so everyone can read me.
me: I dream about my book every night.
amanda: I like to sing about my book.
me: Sometimes i think i am my book.
amanda: I always take my book to the bathroom with me.
me: My book never leaves me side.
amanda: when i die want to be burried with my books, all my books.
me: when i die i want my favorite book opened to page 64, with paragraph 4 highlighted.
In fact i want my favorite book made into a diamond, that i can wear around my neck when I'm dead.
amanda: better yet, i want my favorite book planted inside me when i die.

carpet makes me want to kill myself...
"carpet makes me want to kill myself. wall-to-wall carpet anywhere other than offices, airplanes, and holiday inn lobbies sends me careening toward a kind of despair that can only be described as the feeling that might be experienced by a person that has made some monumental and irreversable life decision and realized, almost immdeiatly after the fact, that it was an error of epic proportions...there's a lot of stuff i can i look past--unemployed boyfriends, borderline personalities, offensive comments aimed directly at me--but when i balk, i balk hard. where there's carpet, there's been a mistake." --Megan Daum
unfortunaly, i've been looking for a cheaper place to live, due to an unforscene rent increase. today i looked at a 2 bedroom place, that from the pictures looked pretty nice. when i arrived i was rudely awakened by stairs--no elvator. I'm not against stairs, in fact i've ben trying to use the stairs in my building now (mostly going down-ha). either way, i like to have the option, but that was the least of my concerns. according to the ad, it was two bedrooms, plus an office, which sounded like more than enough. the bedrooms were tiny, the size of my bathroom, with carpet, no seriously. the office was the same. i was suprised by the size of the kitchen however, and least expected the laundry room, which exceeded the size of both bedrooms. it seems only logical to knock out the wall between the two bedrooms and make it a one bedroom, and even then, it would be on the small size. i suppose i've been spoiled the oversized loft iv'e been living in, and now i want nothing less! whaaaa!
